Rick Marshall joined Phipps & Bird, Inc. on July 31st as Regulatory Affairs and Quality Assurance (RAQA) Manager. Rick will serve as Project Leader as the company implements an ISO9000 Quality Program. He will interface with regulatory agencies in his role as Compliance Officer and will, additionally, administer the corporate safety program.

Rick spent the last 4½ years as Quality Assurance manager with Shellcore Toys, Inc. Prior to that Rick was Director of Regulatory Affairs for General Medical Corporation. Rick earned his Bachelor of Science in Biology/Natural Science from Morris Harvey College in Charleston, WV in 1975.

The Richmond-based Phipps & Bird is a manufacturer of products for municipal water and wastewater quality and treatment, educational physiology, durable medical equipment, and original equipment manufacturers. Phipps & Bird was founded in 1925 as a laboratory supply and chemical distributor. One of the founders, Lloyd C. Bird, later became a Virginia state senator.
